Caitlin Clark's first signature shoe is almost here. The Nike Caitlin 1 launches globally October 1, following an early release in China on September 24, and it leads with two colorways: "Caitlin Blue" and "Warning Code." The shoe retails for $140 in North America, and it arrives alongside an 18-piece Caitlin 1 apparel collection featuring jackets, hoodies, T-shirts and performance pieces. For Clark, the moment is a big one. As she put it, "I never thought I would have my own signature shoe."

The Caitlin 1 was developed by Nike Basketball's Ben Nethongkome and Alex Zerzan around the three things Clark asked for: speed, range and unpredictability. The standout feature is the upper, built with Nike's new Opticast construction. Hundreds of cast polyurethane nodes sit at varied heights across the shoe to add support and cut down on drag, in a pattern inspired by the ripple of the three-point arc. Look closely and the nodes form a series of C's on the lateral side and 2's on the medial side, a nod to her initials and her No. 22. Underfoot, a full-length Cushlon midsole is paired with a forefoot Air Zoom Turbo unit for a responsive feel, and a midfoot shank adds stability. The personal touches keep going from there: stacked Swooshes that form two C shapes, Clark's "CC" logo on the tongue, her signature on the heel, and hidden messages on the outsole, including "Shoot More Threes" and "This was never a long shot."

The two launch colorways are built as a pair, sitting at opposite ends of the color spectrum to reflect two sides of Clark's personality. "Caitlin Blue" is a bold, nearly all-blue look, with blue Opticast nodes, an icy blue CC logo on the tongue and a translucent outsole that fades from blue to pink, and its palette takes its cue from the open sky and Clark's deep shooting range. "Warning Code" flips that script with a Yellow Zest and Soft Yellow upper, Racer Blue Swooshes and branding, and a Racer Blue outsole. Its yellow tones are inspired by the warning colors found in nature, a nod to the intensity Clark brings every time she steps on the court.

When October 1 hits, look for the Caitlin 1 on Nike.com, the Nike App and at select Nike Basketball retailers starting at 10 a.m. ET (9 a.m. CT). Family sizing is available too, and Nike says the youth versions were fine-tuned with kid-specific details to improve flexibility and range of motion. If neither launch pair is for you, Nike has already revealed more colorways for the collection, including "Midnight Fever," "Purple Venom," "Ice Cold" and "Cave Stone," with release dates still to be announced. As Clark's first signature model, launch-day demand could be strong, so it's worth being ready when the Caitlin 1 goes live.
