ComplexCon returned to Los Angeles on October 3-4 for its 10th anniversary, bringing a weekend of convention-only drops, surprise releases, and early looks at 2027 collaborations. Nike, adidas, Vans, Reebok, BAPE and a roster of independent labels all showed up, but a few pairs rose above the rest.

One of the most sought-after shoes of the weekend was Satoshi Nakamoto's pearl-covered Vans Era 95 "Lucky Charms" in washed navy. Demand was so intense that the booth was briefly shut down. Vans also dropped Imran Potato's Authentic and Old Skool collaborations, which feature bright colors and animal prints.

Nike, meanwhile, drew its own crowds with the Victor Victor x Air Force 1 Low '01 in blue, which debuted at a gas station-themed activation complete with a Ferrari Monza SP2. Lil Yachty then topped it with the weekend's biggest surprise: two Concrete Boys x Air Force 1 Mid colorways in croc-embossed material. The yellow-and-black pair was limited to 1,000 and sold at his pawn shop-themed booth, while a pink-and-black version exists in just two pairs, both made for Yachty himself.

Nike also looked ahead to next year. Jae Tips previewed his Air Bakin Low in a purple colorway with his signature "Savior" branding, one of two pairs expected to arrive in Spring 2027. He also sold a Triple White Air Force 1 Low at the show, his first Nike release after years of Saucony projects.

adidas kept pace with an early drop of Hellstar's black-and-red Megaride S2 and a neon green Sp5der F50 Formotion. Sneaker Room also previewed an autism awareness Adistar Control 2, reportedly due in March 2027, though adidas hasn't confirmed the date.

Reebok and BAPE rounded out the weekend with two more notable releases. BBC Ice Cream's Board Flip "Japanese Beer Pack" arrived in a silver pair limited to 500, along with a gold pair limited to just 25 that could only be won through a vending machine at the booth. BAPE, meanwhile, celebrated 25 years of the BAPE STA with a special anniversary collection.

Together, these drops pointed toward ever more limited, event-driven collaborations that blur the lines between footwear, music and streetwear.
