Nike has teamed up with Nigo to launch a new multi-season Air Force 1 project, starting with a design rooted in his early career. The shoe draws inspiration from LO2, a 1990s magazine column he created with Jun Takahashi, which helped shape Tokyo’s influential streetwear scene and led to their NOWHERE boutique.

The sneaker features a patent leather upper in Sail and Loyal Blue, colors taken from the original NOWHERE storefront sign. It also includes LO2 graphics, “Nigo Air” branding, and a return to the sleeker 2001 Air Force 1 shape, giving it a more vintage, streamlined look while staying true to its roots.

The Nike x Nigo LO2 Air Force 1 and apparel collection will release May 1 at London’s Design Museum alongside Nigo’s exhibition, followed by a wider drop on May 2 through Human Made and Undercover. With more releases planned, this marks the start of a broader global series.
