Nike's anime crossover of the year is almost here. The Nike x One Piece collection will launch globally September 25, with details available now on SNKRS. The collection is built around One Piece's Devil Fruits and features three distinct expressions of the Nike Air Max Plus alongside jerseys, T-shirts, caps and a vest inspired by One Piece lore. Each shoe is based on a different fruit, and all three feature completely retooled uppers exclusive to the collection, so this is more than a simple color swap.

The pair hitting SNKRS is the "Gomu Gomu," named for Luffy's rubber-body fruit. It comes in purple with bright green accents across the laces, tongue, lining, and Swoosh. Most outlets list it at $210, though some early reports said $180, so check SNKRS for the final price. The other two styles, "Mera Mera" and "Ope Ope," are only releasing at select retailers and won't be on SNKRS.

How you buy depends on where you live. The Gomu Gomu Air Max Plus will be available via SNKRS Pre-Order in the United States, Japan, and select European countries beginning September 25. In China, Mexico, and Australia, it will be available through a standard SNKRS launch on September 25. In Korea, it will be available via SNKRS Exclusive Access. In the U.S., access was tied to a SNKRS poll that ran from August 23 through September 18, with select participants notified on September 18 and given the chance to enter a pre-order on September 25.

If you were selected, expect to pay up front: with Nike's pre-order system, you're charged the full amount, but the shoe won't ship until the date specified on the release, often within a three-month window. Fans who just want gear can still shop, since select items from the Gomu Gomu apparel collection will also launch globally on SNKRS on September 25.
